Katherine and Stuart

It was a gorgeous weekend in Columbia, South Carolina when Katherine and Stuart's friends and family flew in to celebrate their wedding day! We all stayed at the historical Claussen's Inn, and while we were treated with genuine southern hospitality, we also dined on southern delectables like boiled peanuts, fried turkey, shrimp, cheese grits, and wedding cake....after which we danced the night away!

On the ranch...

This fall, my friend, Jill, said, "Susie, please find time in your schedule and come out the ranch to photograph my family!" After poring over our busy calendars,  Jill and I finally found a date that worked. I packed up and headed south to shoot "on location"....and that location was a working cattle ranch deep in the heart of Texas!

Meet Hannah and Jack, the children of John and Jill. They were eager to be outside on this beautiful day, and before we actually started, I followed them into their "secret place"(along with the cat).

We "rounded" up John...

...then found our tree and started climbing. 

 Thanks John, Jill, Hannah, and Jack....what a fun day I had with all four of you....out on the ranch!
